Psychotherapist NJ and NY
Pronouns: she/her
I was born, raised, educated, and clinically trained in New York. In 2019, my husband and I, along with our two children, made Long Valley, New Jersey our home. I am appreciative of the sense of community and connection to nature that Long Valley offers. The pace of life allows me to prioritize the joys of family dinners, game nights, movie marathons, and adventures together.

My passion for making a positive impact in people's lives is the driving force behind everything I do. Whether I'm guiding clients in my private practice, sharing my insights as a contributor, providing consulting services, or immersing myself in research, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the chance to support others and witness change take root. I see my work as a ripple effect, spreading waves of hope and empowerment.
My interest in psychology is personal, anchored in my own experiences of navigating chronic illness, cancer in my family, traumatic losses, complex relationships, and the continual search for understanding what it truly means to be human.
PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC APPROACH:
I believe human beings possess a natural inclination towards personal growth. Leveraging this built-in drive for self-improvement, I guide individuals in realizing their talents, creativity, and aspirations. I focus on the active process through which an individual consciously creates and defines their own identity, values, and beliefs and assist clients as they face concepts that are universal to existence- such as death, freedom, isolation, and meaning.
CLINICAL EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND ORIENTATION:
I hold a master’s in social work from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Services and a bachelor’s in psychology from SUNY Stony Brook University. My career began in psychology research, supporting the Collaborative Study on the Genetics of Alcoholism and overseeing a research team. Transitioning to clinical social work, I worked with various healthcare institutions and nonprofits such as Memorial Sloan Kettering, Weill Cornell Medicine, Francis Residency Program for Women and Infants, and Jarvie Commonweal Service.
I acquired my clinical hours under the supervision of a psychiatrist and licensed clinical social worker through the Mental Health Service Corps., an Initiative of NYC, focusing on integrating mental health services into primary care and training clinicians extensively in evidence-based practices. I hold a certification as a Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator and offer trauma sensitive yoga as an adjunctive treatment for treatment resistant PTSD and complex trauma.
As a trauma-informed clinician, I approach therapy with a humanistic perspective rooted in an existential framework. I have received training in evidence-based techniques targeting anxiety, stress, depression, and more. I draw from this knowledge and utilize skills from holistic mental health care as well as traditional modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Behavioral Activation, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Problem Solving Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and more.
I specialize in cancer, chronic illness, anxiety, life transitions, grief, caregiver stress, and interpersonal trauma.
