About psychotherapy and counseling  that makes a difference.

When we take time to explore life and how we are living it, we empower ourselves to see our choices and make decisions that reflect who we truly are. Without this practice of reflection, we risk seeing ourselves through the lens of our past, letting our experiences define us rather than shaping our own path.

In therapy, I help you explore the possibility that some things you believe about your life now may not be as true as they seem. At the same time, there may be other possibilities—ones you haven’t fully considered—that are worth putting your energy into.  â€‹

I blend mind & body therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and existential psychology to help you work through relationship problems, anxiety and depression,  life transitions, and more. Therapy with me isn’t about just finding quick fixes, but about creating lasting change through the power of self-discovery.

A Therapeutic Approach that Helps You Move Beyond Anxiety

Being human is messy and complicated. Life can feel uncertain and sometimes even absurd, throwing challenges at us —a health diagnosis, a milestone birthday, or the loss of a loved one that shatters the stability we’ve worked so hard to maintain. At other times, it's quieter, with days blending into one another until we find ourselves questioning our choices, our direction, or even our sense of self. Every choice you make moves you ahead... or holds you back. And the clock keeps ticking.

My therapeutic approach is a process of uncovering and discovery that is rooted in humanistic existential therapies and philosophy. We explore the big questions of life— like death, freedom, meaning, responsibility, and authenticity. I see symptoms of depression and anxiety as signs that something in life isn’t working. They reflect deeper struggles and are meaningful attempts to cope. These should be respected, explored, and gently worked through. We pay close attention to what's possible—your potential, capacity for growth, and your personal experience of being human. This means we look beyond whats "wrong" to understand all the layers of your experience within a supportive psychotherapy environment.

When you are not living in alignment with who you truly are or what matters to you, it can create a sense of inner tension or restlessness that shows up in various parts of your life and manifests as anxiety, feeling stuck, or like something important is missing. In sessions, we’ll explore your values, choices, and the existential meaning behind your experiences. Therapy will help loosen the grip of old patterns and soften self-judgment.  It will help you to respond instead of react, connect instead of withdraw, and reflect instead of avoid. As you gain fresh perspective, you'll begin to understand yourself, others, and the world in new ways, opening the door to healing and a clearer connection to what truly matters to you.

My approach to psychotherapy is honest, open-minded, infused with a sense of humor, and supported by years of experience and evidence-based practices. I help people feel free to be themselves, build better relationships, and live with less regret.
